There is so much to be thankful for. Even if some days have been feeling more dark and dreary than others (cough the election and all the shit that is going down because of it).
The last few years have made me realize how important family is and how much you need their support in life. For that I am thankful.
My job as an ALT within my three schools has had its ups and downs, like any job. Through it all I know that everyday I have been happy and loved. For that I am thankful.
I have been living in a country so far away from home. The people here have treated me with nothing but kindness. For that I am thankful.
I can eat amazing Japanese food, even if it is just from my local Seven Eleven. For that I am thankful.
I have lived through many struggles and painful times in my short 26 years on this earth. But I have grown stronger with each passing day because of it. For that I am thankful.
I have tons of amazing people in my life, many come from all over the world. I have learned so much from each and everyone of them. For that I am thankful.
I am thankful for those who know compassion, patents, and kindness. I am just so thankful for being thankful. Hell, I’m even thankful for the color green.
My list is long, much longer than what I have already written. I could go on and on about it all. You see, I have so much to be glad and thankful for. And while I may not to be able to spend this Thanksgiving day in the traditional sense, I have done enough this last week to make up for it.
Thank you Tandy for Early Bird Turkey Day. Thank you to everyone who has already wished me a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope your turkey day is a blessed and cheerful event!
